Music, makeup, mania, momentous events and a bit of mayhem are on tap for this weekend in the Hamptons. Which events will be on your must-attend list?

Hot Picks for Friday include:  White’s Apothecary in Southampton is hosting a Flash Event with complimentary color consultations with Cle de Peau from noon to 5 p.m.

The Salon Series continues at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill with a performance by pianist Alexandria Le tonight at 6 p.m.

Lynn Blue and the boys are playing the Stephen Talkhouse tonight at 8 p.m. Head out east to Amagansett to catch the whole gang, including Lynn Blue, Dave Portocarrero, Jim Nanos, Alex Sarkis and special guests Dan Koontz and Mick Hargreaves.

Also —  The Jim Turner Band takes the stage at Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. Be there or be square.

And Joseph Vecsey returns to host the All Star Comedy Show at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor tonight at 8 p.m.

Saturday Hot Picks start with the 17th Annual Shelter Island 5K Run/Walk, a USA track and field certified course, which will be held on Saturday, October 15, at 11 a.m.  The race is held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and supports the North Fork Breast Health Coalition, the Coalition for Women’s Breast Health at Southampton Hospital and Lucia’s Angels. All proceeds go directly to patient care via these local breast health organizations.  The beautiful and scenic 5K course starts on a tree-lined street with stunning fall foliage and finishes along the beautiful Crescent Beach.

The Montauk Library is hosting two fun kids events dedicated to Halloween and cupcake making. Yummy. Is okay to pop in to inspect their work?  : )

Head to the East Hampton Library on Saturday for what should be a fascinating talk about Plum Island. Cool.

The East Hampton Library is hosting Ed Faszczewski, a former Plum Island resident, to talk about “Life on Plum Island” at 5 p.m. Super duper waaaaaay cool!! The free discussion is part of the Tom Twomey Lecture Series.

The Southampton Arts Center is kicking off its new “Live From Southampton Arts Center” music series with a “Latin from Manhattan: Afro-Cuban Jazz and Beyond” performance. Starting at 6:30 p.m., the concert will feature Ada Rovatti on saxophone, Alex Sipiagin on trumpet, Nestor Milanes on piano, Steve Shaughnessy on bass, Claes Brondal on drums, and Geraldo Flores on congas.

Ille Arts in Amagansett and the Ne0-Political Cowgirls have joined together to host a Wine & Women event on Saturday from 5 to 7. Sounds intriguing.

The South Fork Natural History Museum will open its Panthera Wild Cat exhibition on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. Andy Sabin and Dr. Alan Rabinowitz will kick off the evening with a talk and guest appearance by Adaeze, the Leo Zoological Conservation Center’s Ambassador Cheetah and her companion dog Odie.

And lastly, remember that tonight’s the night that Alfredo Merat takes on Jacques Brel at Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor at 8 p.m.
