If you’re an art aficionado like me, you won’t want to miss the launch of Meghan Boody’s newest work “We are Gods in the Chrysalis,” which is happening today at Harper’s Books in East Hampton at 5 p.m.
Meghan’s work has been featured in important collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Herbert F. Johnson Museum at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY; and the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Tasmania. The artist has also been featured in NY Magazine, Architectural Digest, Art Forum, New York Times art section, and Homes and Gardens.
In her coming-of-age narratives, Boody mediates her own experience through the creation of otherworldly characters and personal avatars that are in a constant state of metamorphosis. These characters challenge the viewer to come along for the bumpy ride into dark territories of the self.
