Summertime in the Hamptons

serenity-now---freebie-1

Only two days left until Memorial Day mania begins here on the East End. Are you ready?

I’ve selected a few days that might ease the transition.

For the mind, body and soul:

Check out Blow Beauty Bar in Bridgehampton, which has expanded to include pretty much everything a put-together gal needs in the summer–blowouts, waxing, facials, spray tans, nails, full makeup and more. Here’s the price list and a nice picture.

What about a hot haute look to go with your fabulous self? Shop Tara Berkoski’s Boutique Chloe + Isabel line for more than just jewelry. The shop has everything from clothes (now for ladies AND men!), plus lifestyle items like towels, bags, hats, sunglasses, beach wraps, and more.

In a jam and need a great hostess or guest gift that absolutely (lip)smacks of the Hamptons? Try a sweet treat from the Hampton Jam Company, which has just released a line of flavorful organic jams inspired by and crafted in East Hampton and New York. Created by Joe and Jessica Cipro, there’s absolutely nothing artificial or genetically modified, just pure organic fruit, organic spices, organic sugar and organic lemon. The first set, which launches this weekend, includes: Blueberry, Apple & Tart Cherry, and Strawberry Lemonade. Yumtastic!

Like the idea but prefer something a bit less sweet-toothy? Then the Montauk Salt Co. might be more your speed. Try out their new line of finishing flake sea salt harvested straight from the waters of Ditch Plains Beach. Handcrafted and completely free of impurities, the taste is clean salty and captures the essence of the Atlantic Ocean.

Need a safe ride home from the big benefit or night on the town?  Try DriverOnTap for a designated driver service in your own car. Or take the Hampton Hopper, which has returned with expanded shuttle bus service to village centers and businesses between Sag Harbor and Montauk, plus a new Montauk Loop route.

Too much to do and  not enough time (or patience) to do it? Call Therese Lindstrom and the concierge pros at The Hamptonite Club, who are opening up a brick-and-mortar office space in Southampton this summer.

Now sit back, take a deep breath and try to enjoy all the things that make our slice of paradise one of the most perfect places in the universe.
