Toe-Tapping Fun in the Hamptons


Back by popular demand, “TAP: An Evening of Rhythm”  returns to the East End this weekend. Last year the Our Fabulous Variety Show performance staged to a standing-room-only crowd at Guild Hall in East Hampton. This year, it travels to the Southampton Cultural Center for two nights of fun!

Expect not only some fabulous dancing, but you’ll also get to learn some of the history of this incredible dance art form as Anita Boyer and her troupe of tappers pay tribute to the originators of tap while showcasing local and Broadway talent. This 13th OFVS production opens at the Southampton Cultural Center in conjunction with Dance Fusion on Friday, April 22, at 7 p.m., with performances continuing on Saturday, April 23, at 7 p.m. The show will also debut at the Avram Theater at Stony Brook Southampton on Friday, April 29, at 7 p.m., featuring professional tap dancer Aaron Tolson and his tap dance company, Speaking in Taps!

Sponsored by Hamptons Lifelong Arts and Hamptons AARP, the show aims to introduce people to the incredible world of tap from its roots to its many off-shoots in the hopes to continue to spread the love and appreciation of this wonderful artistic dance style. Tickets range from $25 to $35.
