The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons announced today that Scott Howe will be taking over the Executive Director position starting May 9. His first public ARF appearance will be at the organization’s annual Pet Celebration Day at the Adoption Center in Wainscott on Saturday, May 7.

Currently serving as the Deputy Director for Administration and Institutional Advancement at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, at ARF Mr. Howe will oversee all departments at the ARF Adoption Center in Wainscott and the ARF Thrift & Treasure Shop in Sagaponack. The owner of a rescue dog named Stritch will also oversee community programs and lead the organization in its next Capital Campaign, which includes three new buildings (Cat Sanctuary, Dog Sanctuary and an indoor Dog Training Center) as well as a renovation of the current medical wing and adoption center. He replaces longtime Executive Director Sara Davison, who left the organization in May 2015.

“We did an exhaustive search of 55 candidates and Scott was a unanimous decision by the ARF executive committee,” says Board President Lisa McCarthy. “We are delighted that he will become part of the ARF family.”
