Congrats to Southampton Hospital, which recently received a pair of grants totaling $275,355 from The Ellen Hermanson Foundation.
The money received will be used to fund technology and patient support services at The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center. The $105,000 grant money will be applied to the purchase of a Tomosynthesis 3-D Imaging System at the Medical Atrium in Hampton Bays, and the other, totaling $170,355, will fund Ellen’s Well services including an oncological social worker, the annual “Day of Renewal and Hope,” and restorative services in yoga, water exercise, acupuncture, massage therapy, reflexology, and meditation among others.
“The support provided by the Ellen Hermanson Foundation and Ellen’s Well from the beginning of the Hospital’s breast health program has benefitted thousands of women. From the diagnostic technology to the many other services enabled through the Foundation’s generosity, we have been fortunate to have a very generous foundation on our side,” says Hospital President and CEO, Robert Chaloner.
