Three Open Calls for Art

Hampton Photo Arts in Bridgehampton has issued an open call for all photographers for its “Shelters” exhibition. Stop in and pick up submission forms and show details between now and February 16.  The opening reception will be held at Ashawagh Hall in Springs on Saturday, February 27, from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and the exhibit will hang on Sunday, February 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.


Guild Hall in East Hampton has issued a call for its annual Artist Members Exhibition.

Applications are now available online for the 78th Annual Guild Hall Artist Members Exhibition. This year’s Awards Juror is JiaJia Fei, who was recently appointed Director of Digital at the Jewish Museum in New York and was formerly the Associate Director, Digital Marketing at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. Registration forms, regular and virtual, are due starting April 8. The exhibit will be on display from Saturday, April 23, through Saturday, June 4. A free opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 23, from 4 to  6 p.m.

East End Arts in Riverhead has issued an open call for Artists for its fifth annual National

Juried Art Competition & Exhibit, “The Gallerist, The Artist, The Critic, & The Kid,” which will be held in four parts, from August 5 through September 21. The entry deadline is April 5. All entries will be juried four separate times by four different jurors from the same pool of entries, and will result in four separate exhibitions. Jurors will be gallerist Peter Marcelle, artist Eric Ernst, critic Joyce Beckenstein and kid TBD, selected by lottery. The show chosen by Marcelle will be exhibited from August 5 through September 21. The other three shows will be viewable on individual monitors within the gallery.
