Blizzard 2016 Emergency Info for East Hampton

Welcome to the winter wonderland.

Pretty much everything has been been cancelled and rescheduled for the day so let’s all take the time to enjoy it. Hunker down, read a good book, catch up on earlier Hamptons Party Girl posts or eat all the ice cream in the freezer now–just in case the power goes out.  : )

But before you do that, here’s a small blurb from the East Hampton Town Supervisor’s office, including emergency phone numbers.

The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for East Hampton Town. High winds and heavy snowfall may cause whiteout conditions at times, starting Saturday morning and continuing until Sunday morning. Snowfall amounts may reach 10-18″
by Sunday morning.

Vehicular travel should be avoided on Saturday unless absolutely necessary and vehicles should not be parked along public roadways. Highway Crews are prepared and will work diligently to clear public roadways. If widespread power outages occur, warming and charging centers will be opened.

All Emergency calls should be directed to 911.
Non-Emergency calls should be directed to 631-537-7575.  Updates will be posted throughout the day on Saturday.
