Even if you missed the opening this afternoon, never fear because Guild Hall in East Hampton is now presenting its 24th annual “Arts Festival Part I, Grades K-8” and the show will remain on view through February 21. The museum features more than 3,500 works of student art that cover the gallery walls floor to ceiling salon-style. Part I of the exhibition features the works of students in pre-school, elementary and middle schools, and Part II showcases the work of high school students.

The Southampton Cultural Center is opening “Winter Light: East End Artists” today, January 16, with an opening reception planned from 5 to 7 p.m. The show will hang through February 16. Curated by Arlene Bujese, the group exhibit features the work of Shari Abramson, Calvin Albert, Marcel Bally, Monica Banks, Deborah Black, John Bell, Stephanie Brody-Lederman, Darlene Charneco, Pamela Collins Focarino, Josh Dayton, Mary Daunt, A.G. Duggan, Carol Hunt, Tracy Jamar, Margaret Kerr, Christa Maiwald, Fulvio Massi, Roy Nicholson, Louise Peabody, Alexander Russo, Roseanne Schwab, Walter Schwab and Dan Welden.

In the mood to get down? Join the Lynn Blue Band at Wolfies Tavern tonight on Fort Pond Boulevard in East Hampton (what I call Springs) from 8 to 10:30.
