Did everyone miss the memo that it’s Memorial Day weekend?
I went to the beach yesterday and barely a soul was there. I’ll admit it, it was nice to have the sand and sun practically all to myself, but I was definitely surprised. I’m guessing that tomorrow will be a different story, as the temperatures are finally supposed to rise and return to respectable tanning weather. Or maybe locals dodged a bit of a bullet until next weekend, when the summer season population explosion will really hit the fan …
In the meantime, let’s all soak up the fun. Here are a few more Hot Picks for today, Sunday and Monday. Also, don’t forget to pick up some of your favorite summer reads (mine are obviously the Sag Harbor Express and XO magazine; Homes of the Hamptons; Homes of the North Fork; NYC&G; and HC&G, where I’m now writing the Made in the Hamptons series for the second year and debuting as the author of Deeds & Don’ts for the first time!) while you’re out and about.
Happy Memorial Day weekend!
