In a panic? Forget that it’s Valentine’s Day and you haven’t made plans yet? Rest assured, there’s still a (very little) bit of time to get this this day on track.
How about taking your love to the ARF Adoption Center in Wainscott for a Valentine’s Day Open House. I personally can’t think of too many better ways than to share, show and give love than by providing a forever home to an animal in need. Stop by until 3 p.m. to view the dogs and cats, get free microchipping and rabies vaccines, caricatures of you and your pet, and a chance to win a “Romantic Raffle” including dinner, champagne, flowers, candy and much more. Refreshments will be served and there will be crafts for the kids. Don’t forget that the ARF Thrift and Treasure Shop in Sagaponack is also holding a February Sale this month. All proceeds support the Adoption Center. Visit http://www.arfhamptons.org
Need some romantic dinner plans? Then call up and make reservation STAT at one of these East Hampton eateries: Harbor Grill 604-5290, Nick & Toni’s 324-3550, Rowdy Hall 324-8555, or The Living Room 324-5006, or at Almond in Bridgehampton 537-5665.
Still in the mood for some amore amour? Then head to East By Northeast in Montauk to get down to the good grooves of Mick Hargreaves, Lynn Blumenfeld et al. I’m guessing that the dance floor will be hot, hot, hot tonight! As for the food, I haven’t eaten there yet but the sushi photos look AMAZING and the word on the street is that the dining is deelish. Can’t wait to try it. http://www.eastbynortheast.com
