Local Chef Competes in “The Taste”

I just found out that one of the contestants on this season’s “The Taste” is a personal chef in Water Mill. The talented guy in question, who lives in Brooklyn but has impressed the heck out of some local friends and foodies, is none other than Gabe Kennedy. The music-loving 23-year-old chef has already so wowed viewers that he’s being called a frontrunner after appearing on just one episode. That’s pretty cool.

During the premiere of season three last week on December 4, Gabe made succotash (and a few ladies swoon) so good that all four mentors–Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre and Marcus Samuelsson–wanted him on their teams. In the end, he picked Marcus, another chef who is no stranger to the East End. I’m certainly rooting for this talented team.

Here’s more information about Gabe, from his website and Twitter feed. Let’s follow him, shall we.
