This year’s Hamptons International Film Festival was a bit more low key than usual, and dampened considerably by the rain on Saturday, but the show still went on. In addition to Hilary Swank and Keifer Sutherland showing up, the other big news of the festival was the naming of this year’s winning films, the Breakthrough Panel and, of course, the Conversations With series.
As for the awards, The Golden Starfish Narrative Feature Award went to “Gett: The Trial Of Viviane Amsalem.” Ronit Elkabetz was also honored, with Outstanding Performance by an actress, for her performance in the film. The Golden Starfish Award for Best Documentary was awarded to “The Special Need.” And Jacob Lofland was awarded the Newcomer award for “Little Accidents.”
