“I’ve only been here 10 minutes and it’s already the best day of my life,” one of the attendees giddily uttered to a friend as he strolled past me at Edible East End’s Great Food Truck Derby at Hayground School in Bridgehampton on Friday night.
It was a foodie’s paradise for sure at the third annual event, which raised money for Hayground schoolyard projects in the region, which provide culinary arts training for local kids. More than 20 food and beverage vendors participated, offering a variety of delicious to-go edibles. Trucks and stands I visited included: Hamptons Foodie, Hampton Coffee Company, Noah’s, Silver Spoon Specialties, The Inn Spot, Baldor Foods, Blondies Bakeshop, Coolhaus, Crazy Crepe Cafe, Eat Me Drink Me, Montauk Ice Co., Morris Grilled Cheese, Neapolitan Express, Nice Buns, Pizza Luca, Whole Le Crepe, Lieb Cellars, Wolffer, and Lenz Winery.
Cheers to this yummy fundraiser, which left me stuffed and and satisfied.
