I walked through the gate and onto the grounds of Mulford Farm in East Hampton on Friday night for the East Hampton Historical Society’s annual summertime fundraiser and immediately spotted Richard Barons, which wasn’t so hard as he was greeting everyone, and Marshall Watson, whom I could pick out of a crowd in about 5 seconds flat as he’s always so handsome and debonaire. What a treat it was to immediately see those familiar faces, followed quickly by those of so many, many friends.
The next person I recognized isn’t a person I’d call a friend but it was definitely familiar. Strolling through the gate right behind me was none other than East Hampton’s Martha Stewart, who looked fabulous, as always. I’ve taken lots of pictures of this lady over the years and she never ceases to photograph beautifully.
But back to the event. The antiques were resplendent and there were so many people there that they had to open the gates up early. I saw designer friends, antiques buffs and history aficionados, plus a few who just like to get out and about to a good party. It’s always nice to see my fellow East Enders turning up in droves to support such a great organization. Hope you enjoy the snapshots as much as I enjoyed the event.
