Bay Street Theater in Sag Harbor held its 23rd annual Summer Gala on Saturday on Long Wharf and boy oh boy was it a doozy! This year’s benefit, chaired by Christine Wächter-Campbell, Bill Campbell, and Pia Zankel and Jimmy Zankel, raised money for the Scott Schwartz New Directions Fund for the theater and honored Arts Visionaries to some of the best of our best–Kate Burton, April Gornik, Sheldon Harnick, Bob Balaban, Marsha Norman and Richard Kind.
The fundraiser also featured a farm-to-table dinner prepared by Peter Ambrose, dancing with the Nancy Atlas Project Band, and even more live entertainment by Broadway stars Patina Miller and Tovah Feldshuh. Fun, fun, fun!
Our Sag Harbor gem is really hitting its stride, of which I am so glad to see and experience. Can’t wait for the world premier of “My Life is a Musical” next week! In the meantime, there are about 402 great events and shows there. Check out the calendar at http://www.baystreet.org.
