Holy moly, it’s Memorial Day weekend in a just a few short days! Let’s all head out to The End right now before the crowds arrive for real. Luckily for us, this weekend is perfect since it’s the Montauk Music Festival. But let’s remember to not drive like maniacs on the Napeague stretch and to stagger our arrival and exit times so we’re not sitting in traffic all darn day. The fest is underway and going full bore now through Sunday, May 18. Check out the list of gigs at http://www.montaukmusicfestival.com
* While in Montauk, stop by and check out sculptures By Lynn Duryea and paintings by Paton Miller at Outeast Gallery. The show opens Saturday, May 17, with a reception planned from 6 to 9 p.m. Check out Outeast on Facebook for more info.
* HITFest will stage “Who’s Afraid of Edward Albee?” by Hortense Carpentier on Friday, May 16, at the Bridgehampton Community House. Super fun! (516) 725-5205 | https://hortense-tns.eventbrite.com

* Guild Hall in East Hampton will host a Meet the Winners Gallery Talk and Tour on Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. for the 76th Annual Guild Hall Artist Members Exhibition. http://www.guildhall.org

*Lastly, our good friend Alfredo Merat (thanks for keeping me in the loop man) will play with Luka Bloom next Friday, May 23, at 8 p.m. the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett. Tickets are $25, or $40 for VIP. Buy them now, as I predict this show will sell out fast. http://www.stephentalkhouse.com
